How Much Bald Eagles Weigh
A bald eagle can weigh up to 14 pounds (6.35 kilograms), although the average bald eagle weighs about 10 pounds (4.5 kilograms).
Its wingspan is 6-7 1/2 feet (2-2.3 meters).
Males are typically smaller than females, but both males’ and females’ weights vary depending on where they live.
For example, bald eagles in Florida weigh about 7 pounds (3 kilograms), while bald eagles in Alaska can weigh as much as 14 pounds (6.4 kilograms).
Male bald eagles weigh between 5 and 11 pounds (2 to 5 kilograms), and females typically weigh between 7 and 13 pounds (3 to 6 kilograms).
They have a wingspan of 5-7 feet (1.5-2 meters).
In some cases, female bald eagles can weigh as much as 15 pounds (6.8 kilograms), which is more than the male bald eagle’s weight at its heaviest.
Why Bald Eagles Weigh That Much
